Lyrik Boston

$0.00

Boston, MA

Lyrik is a transformative new development in Boston’s Back Bay, built over the Mass Turnpike. Utilizing air-rights from the City of Boston, a development strategy not used in the city for decades, the site includes a half-acre park plaza, office tower, boutique hotel, retail, and restaurant spaces on two levels.

The project serves as a new city gateway and revitalizes a neglected area of the Back Bay neighborhood. The surrounding streetscapes have been redesigned to enhance both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, with additions like a new urban plaza, café areas, street trees, bike tracks, a new bus shelter, and an MBTA head house. This design reopens a pedestrian tunnel for safe access to the Hynes Convention Center MBTA stop underneath busy Massachusetts Avenue.

The plaza, which opened in summer 2024, provides an informal venue for local music students from Berklee College of Music, supporting local artists and fostering community connections. Offices, retail, and restaurant spaces are expected to open throughout 2025.
