Dot Block / Under Construction

$0.00

Dorchester, MA

Dot Block is a mixed-use development located between the Savin Hill & Field’s Corner neighborhoods of Dorchester. The property, which envelops a 3.95-acre city block, is located along Dorchester Avenue, a major thoroughfare and commercial corridor. The design reconnects the site to the neighborhood by providing interior drives that while separating the buildings into North & South zones, bring neighborhood communication to the retail and open spaces. The project includes a “Woonerf” drive connecting to Dorchester Avenue, which caters to pedestrian-orientated access between the retail spaces and artist units. The design also engages the neighborhood to “The Green” which is an open to the public open space with a central lawn space. The Lawn is encompassed by flowering trees & shrubs and the Pleasant & Dot North Buildings. Nestled above The Green is a 7,500-square-foot amenity space designed to include a pool, pergola, outdoor kitchen, and seating areas. The pool, central to the amenity space, is enclosed by landscaped planters. The design allows the residents to feel a sense of privacy while still being connected to the rest of the site.
