Pointe-Marie is a 120 acre housing and resort development located on River Road in Baton Rouge, LA. The parcel was developed as a traditional new development with neighborhood parks planned as amenities throughout the development. Phase One Construction includes Pointe Marie Square, the main gathering space of the development. The master plan of the square was developed with multiple uses in mind, including passive recreation, but also anticipates a program of concerts, cooking demonstrations and events that will be held year round in Pointe Marie Square. Infrastructure construction is well underway and the Discovery Center opened in late 2016. Construction on Pointe Marie square is expected to commence in early 2017.
