John Haven
Senior Associate, ASLA

John joined LJLA in 2005 and brings more than 18 years of residential design experience to LJLA. He has created landscapes from Boston to the Pacific, each finely attuned to its local climate and geography. John’s lifelong interest in gardening and horticulture led him to study landscape architecture, and he uses his own garden as a testing ground for plants that may make their way into LJLA designs. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Purdue University, where he was awarded the ASLA Honor for Excellence in the Study of Landscape Architecture in 2001. John maintains his connection to the Purdue Landscape Architecture program by helping to coordinate and host a yearly Purdue Coop student since 2010. In 2016, John was selected as the recipient of the ‘5 Under 40’ award for Landscape Architecture from New England Home Magazine. He serves on the design review board for the Town of Dedham and volunteers his design services to various other town organizations.
