Douglas Jones
Principal, FASLA

A partner at LeBlanc Jones since 2000, Doug has practiced landscape architecture in the Boston area for the past 25 years. His award-winning landscapes in the United States, Europe, and Saudi Arabia include parks and greenbelts, residential communities, mixed-use developments, and residential properties.

In his landscape designs, Doug seeks to reveal the layered history of a site through an interplay of existing and introduced elements. His designs display an attention to detail, horticulture, and craft born of his early experience in the nursery industry and landscape construction. This foundation, and his education in landscape architecture at the University of Idaho, underpins landscapes equally strong in concept, execution, and durability.

Doug applies his lifelong passion for the outdoors as a director on the board of the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA of Boston’s North Shore. He has led the development of the facility’s 20-acre campus and the preservation and restoration of Children’s Island, a 29-acre day camp in Salem Harbor. Since 2007, he has served on the Design Review Board for the historic town of Marblehead, Massachusetts.
