2017 Boston Society of Landscape Architects Award
March 30, 2017The Boston Society of Landscape Architects released its 2017 Award winners on March 30, 2017. LJLA was awarded an HONOR Award in Design for the Pond Residence in Wellfleet , MA. The landscape design for this renovated home in Wellfleet, MA resulted in a simple, yet striking contemporary update to the landscape of this summer retreat. The house, built in 1960 on the banks of a kettle pond, was originally designed to blend into the surrounding landscape. With restrained gestures and materials, we were able to accentuate the original design intent. There was beauty in the simplicity of the property’s original design, which was respected from the beginning of the process.
